System x® iDataPlex™ dx360 M2
Product details
The dx360 M2 is a half-depth, 2-socket server designed to provide ultimate power and cooling efficiencies and maximum density for data centers.
Processor
Maximum processors
Maximum memory
Maximum internal storage
Intel® Xeon® 5500 series quad-core up to 2.93 GHz
Two
16 DDR-3 DIMM slots, up to 64 GB per server
Up to 5.0 TB per 2U Flex chassis and up to 12.0 TB per 3U storage chassis 3
1 According to the SPEC® (Standard Performance Evaluation Corporation) performance per watt results published June 10, 2009. Results can be found at http://www.spec.org/power_ssj2008/results/power_ssj2008.html(link resides outside of ibm.com)
2 In most cases with the IBM Rear Door Heat eXchanger installed in the iDataPlex rack, outlet temperatures from the back of the iDataPlex rack are up to 10 degrees lower than inlet air (room) temperatures. This helps eliminate the need for air conditioning and facilitates cooling of the next row of iDataPlex racks using the iDataPlex flow-through layout.
3 Each 2U Flex chassis supports two independently serviceable trays, providing flexibility to maximize the compute power, storage or I/O density required. A 3U storage chassis is available for additional storage density up to 12.0 TB per server.
