RoHS Compliance Plan

We continue to work with our 350+ supply partners to provide you with access to the RoHS information you need.

We can take your order requests for RoHS compliant, lead-free, or, in some cases, leaded product.

We will provide you with notice, based on your order history, of product obsolescence or product compliance transition.

You may use our online Part Search to navigate to the selected part's detail screen. From here, you can link to technical information about the product, including the Digi-Key PDF catalog page on which the part resides, technical drawings, datasheets, application notes and photos (if available). You may also link directly to the manufacturer's Web site.

You may choose to use our on-line RoHS Verification tool to obtain the RoHS or lead-free status compliance status. The tool can be used for a single item, or you can conveniently cut and paste your parts list directly from a BOM. The returned information can be downloaded into an Excel format for your ease of review.

You may request a RoHS Purchase History Report, which is based on your Digi-Key purchase history, for a specific customer record/location. Please include your customer number and site location with your request.

RoHS compliant information supplied by Digi-Key is based solely on information provided to Digi-Key by the manufacturer. Digi-Key is not responsible for the accuracy of this information.

Digi-Key Catalogs

Digi-Key's US catalog is produced with paper containing 33% post consumer fiber and may be recycled through a paper board recycling program.

If you receive more than one catalog with the same name and address, please return the labels to Digi-Key and pass the catalog along to a friend. Also, if you do not require multiple copies to the same company address, contact a sales representative to verify and modify your mailing information. A forms based communications method to add, delete or modify mailing, shipping or billing information is available via the Internet. (Receive, Remove, Change of Address) Please note service opt-out options located on these forms. Alternatively, you may mail, telephone or fax Digi-Key your request.

Environmental Packaging

Digi-Key uses Geämi, a 100% recyclable packaging product. Please carefully look through the packaging material for product before placing both the outer and the inner tissue into your newspaper bin for recycling.

Recycle Rechargeable Batteries (USA and Canada only)

Digi-Key recognizes the effect batteries may have on the environment. We have joined forces with the RBRC (Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corporation) as a means for our customers to obtain more information on recycling their Nickel Cadmium (Ni-Cd), Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni-MH), and Small Sealed Lead * rechargeable batteries.

RBRC maintains a website (www.call2recycle.org) and two "hotline" phone numbers (800-8-BATTERY [800-822-8837] and 877-2-RECYCLE [877-273-2925]) where residents can find a location to bring rechargeable batteries for recycling.
