 This module is well suited for simulating oil and gas flow in porous media, groundwater flow, and the spread of pollution through soil.
Ready-made interfaces make it easy to model single and coupled processes related to subsurface flow. In addition, the module handles the transport and reac-
tion of solutes as well as heat transport in porous media through multiphysics modeling. Geophysical and environmental phenomena involve many different processes, and therefore physics, affecting each other. The Earth Science Module provides
many multiphysics examples, such as the coupling between flow and structural deformation in various applications including petroleum extraction, dewatering
