CAD Import Module

Getting your CAD geometries ready for multiphysics modeling is easier than ever with the CAD Import Module.

It facilitates the reading of industry-standard formats such as STEP, IGES, ACIS® (SAT®) and Parasolid®. Extra add-ons support file formats for packages that have their own geo-metry kernel. Defeaturing and manipulating your imported geometries is then possible in the module.

The CAD Import Module goes beyond just the reading of file formats. The interactive repair feature assures that imported CAD geometries are mathematically correct for multiphysics modeling. This includes built-in support for assemblies enabling the coupling of different physics over boundaries, or between components, or even for excluding certain components from an analysis.
